Television starlet Mahhi Vij entered the acting world in 2006 with the television series Akela. She then featured in the show Shubh Kadam. However, she shot to fame and became a household name with her programme Lagi Tujhse Lagan where she played the part of Nakusha. Since then, there has been no looking back for the actress, who has not just showed her acting prowess but also displayed her acting skills in shows like Jhalak Dikhla Jaaand Nach Baliye.
However all the stardom and fame has not been a cakewalk for Mahhi, who hails from a simple middle-class family. The actress has also seen her share of ups and downs, since she entered the showbiz without any godfather helping or guiding her.
Mahhi opened up about her struggling days in a recent interview to Hindustan Times. Getting candid, she shared, “I come from a middle-class family. When I shifted to Mumbai I told my father that I will never be a burden on him. So there were times when we did not have money to pay rent and I did not have courage to tell my father. But somebody up in the heaven was looking after me and I would bag some project and would be able to afford the expenses. So my struggle would be over before it would even start.”

Spilling the beans about her relationship with Jay, Mahhi said, “With Jay it was love at first sight for both of us and we immediately decided to get married. I told him that I don’t want to get into a relationship. If you are game for getting married then only we would move forward to knowing each other and he agreed. I liked that bit about him that he is so committed.”
Mahhi, who loves to gorge on Rajma Chawal, also revealed that she is highly emotional by nature and gets a little lazy when it comes to gymming.
