Television actress Shilpa Shinde has been slapped with a legal notice from the makers of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. For the last few days, the actress has refused to come on the set, leaving the makers in trouble. Hence, the production team has decided to take a legal action against the actress.
In an exclusive interview with Dailybhaskar.com, the producer of the show, Benaifer Kohli says, “All the allegations made by Shilpa including the fees hike; no costume designer and mental harassment are totally false. According to the contract, her fees were not supposed to be renewed for two years; but still she got the hike two times in a year. She was given one of the best costume designers, but she refused to cooperate with them. In fact, she has fired 6-7 costume designers claiming that they are not perfect in their work. She took money to buy stuffs like shoes, jewelries and makeup. We supported her in every manner and in turn what we receive is such false allegations. She has taken a hefty amount from the channel to be exclusive with them, obviously how can she participate with other rivalry channel? She is one of our lead actors and our show is suffering because of her attitude.”
Spilling more beans on the unprofessional behavior of Shilpa Shinde, the producer adds, “There were times when my other artists used to wait for her. She used to come on the set 4-5 hours late. Also, according to the contract, she is supposed to give a notice of 90 days before leaving the show. But she has stopped shooting for the show without any leave application. A good character is not to be mistaken to a good actor. At the end, the channel is suffering and hence we have decided to slap a legal notice (breach of contract) against her.”
So, are the makers in search for a new face? “Honestly, we want Shilpa to be back because she has taken a big amount for it”, Benaifer Kohli concludes.
