Post-Phantom and Fitoor, Katrina Kaif has been eyeing on performance-oriented roles. So when Tarun Mansukhani approached her to play the lead opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, the actress turned it down because the character she was offered didn’t fit her requirements. As per a popular daily, a source quoted, “Of late, Karan and Katrina have been seen bonding more often than usual. The actress who rarely parties has been a frequent visitor to KJo’s impromptu get-togethers. Karan was keen to cast her in Tarun’s film, but when the director gave Kat a narration, she told him that her heart wasn’t in it as the role of the heroine isn’t much and the film centres around Sushant." Now Jacqueline Fernandez is doing the part.
But the source added that now Katrina and KJo are in talks for another project. “It will be directed by another Dharma director and the role is a good one. She has heard the story and liked it a lot and that is the first film she will sign post her break-up from Ranbir Kapoor in January this year. "
