Salman Khan’s Eidi for 2016, Sultan, is ready to hit the screens. The film that has already set the curiosity and the craze factor high, is expected to set the cash registers ringing, turning out to be yet another blockbuster coming from Sallu.
So while Salman will add another feather to his cap with this one, Sultan is also a major point in the career of the film’s leading lady, Anushka Sharma. This is Anushka’s first film with Salman, who is a brand in himself and working with him is considered as a feat, these days. The film is expected to accelerate Anushka’s filmy career that is not going great guns, courtesy the dud Bombay Velvet and a miniscule role in Dil Dhadakne Do, in the recent past.
But do you know that Anushka was not the first choice for the film? Before the actress was approached for Sultan, the film’s makers had other actresses in mind.
Sultan went on floors in November 2015 with Salman Khan and Randeep Hooda. The prolonged first schedule lasted for nearly 50 days when Ali Abbas Zafar shot the wrestling and MMA sequences, without deciding upon the film’s heroine.
