Some tales are to be never forgotten....and Pratyusha Banerjee’s story is one of them.
The beautiful actress committed suicide last month (1 April) after an apparent tiff with her beau Rahul Raj Singh.
The suicide case is yet to find a closure and new developments have come in force after Pratyusha’s mom Soma Banerjee wrote to the Home Minister, Rajnath Singh to make amendments in her daughter’s case and pass the same to the most premier investigation agency.

Earlier, the devastated mom who believes that Rahul is responsible for her daughter’s death had written to the Chief Minister of Mumbai, State Home Minister (Maharashtra), Police Commissioner and Joint Police Commissioner to transfer the case to the Crime Branch.

After analysing the case, the officials dismissed the request and stated that the police will continue with the investigating process.

Rahul was questioned on her suicide and a police case was filed against him under sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.

But after preliminary investigations the actor-producer was granted an anticipatory bail.
In the letter to the Home Minister, Soma stated that Rahul ‘entrapped Pratyusha in his love game’. He also demanded Rs 2 lakh from them on the pretext of celebrating her birthday. She claimed that Rahul had been harassing her mentally and physically and reduced her bank balance to zero a day before her murder.

The letter alleged that though Soma had informed the police about possible foul play into the death, the police had registered it merely as a case of suicide on April 1. She mentioned that since she was not affluent with the language (Marathi), her statement was not recorded in terms to what she stated.

The Union Minister on his part has assured that he will look into the matter and find a way out.
As for us, we will wait to see what next will sprout out from this mysterious case.
