    The 42-year-old actress Manisha Koirala, who hails from Nepal and emerged a star in Bollywood shocked the fans when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012. She had to undergo chemo therapy and spent months at the hospital in New York. After fighting cancer and winning the battle, she is actively involved in spreading the awareness about the disease.

    2. Irrfan Khan


    Padma Shri awarded actor Irrfan Khan who left the audiences speechless with his stellar performances made a name for himself from the ground up, brick by brick. Today’s one of the finest actors in Indian cinema belongs to a lower middle class family and early in his career, he wasn’t even paid for some of the movies in which he acted. The producers bluntly told him that his work doesn’t merit any pay. And now his Hollywood venture, Jurassic World making 3,000 crore in its opening weekend. Really inspiring!

    3. Kalki Koechlin


    She’s not simply fighter but she’s a symbol of courage. Koechlin is involved with several humanitarian causes. She is outspoken on a variety of issues, including education for children in rural areas, women’s rights, gender equality, and gender pay inequality. She recently inspired women everywhere to come out and speak up about one of the most taboo issues, sexual abuse. She also opened up about going through sexual abuse at the age of nine and left us amazed with her spirit.

    4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui


    Born in a poor farmer family of district Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Siddiqui always dreamt of watching movies in theatres. He spent long years struggling to reach where he is today but at last, it finally paid off. Starting his career as a watchman in Delhi, the big success in his life was a job as a chief chemist in Baroda. His flight to stardom took of and it was all due to his sheer perseverance, hard-work and not giving up to the pressure which makes him an Inspire-icon.

    5. Deepika Padukone


    Deepika Padukone who is now rose her fame in Hollywood a little while ago suffered from a severe case of depression. she openly spoke up about her depression problem and changed a lot of people’s perspective towards mental health issues. She inspired a lot of people to fight against depression and disregard it as a social taboo. She has raised the importance of spreading awareness about mental health issues.

    6. Hrithik Roshan   


    Bollywood star Hrithik suffered from a really badcase of stammering  a speech disorder when he was around six years old and plagues him even today. “For oral tests at school, I used to bunk school, I used to fall sick, I used to break my hand, I used to get a sprain,” the actor said. It was so bad that at one point, the doctors even told him that he could never be an actor! There’s no doubt that along with lots of efforts on therapies and dedication towards improving his speech, a little bit of ‘Jaadu’ has been involved in this miraculous recovery!

    7. Lisa Ray


    Lisa Ray, a very beautiful Indo-Canadian actress was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the white blood cells known as plasma cells, which produce antibodies. It is a rare disease. In April 2010, she announced that she was cancer-free, after a stem cell transplant. she never lost hope and only transformed herself for the better. She inspires the people and said “Hope is available to all us at all points of our time. Whether it is cancer or any other difficulties what we have to understand is life is not a cakewalk. Cancer can be an opportunity to learn something and transform yourself”.

    8. Rekha


    One of the finest and most beautiful veterans actress Rekha, was born to Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan and and Telugu actress Pushpavalli but since her mother and Ganesan were not married, the latter didn’t acknowledge his paternity. The troubled financial state of her family compelled her to quit the school at the age of 13 and took up a career in films. Now at 60, she stops as many hearts as she did in her prime years!
