    Baby Guddu


    Shahinda Baig, popularly known as Baby Guddu is a formar child artist of 1980s. Baby Guddu started working in ads at the age of 3. Perhaps the most popular female child artist of 80s, she was also appear in films like Samunder, Akhir Kyon; her last film as a child artiste was Ghar Parivar. The Colgate advertisement featuring Baby Guddu smiling turned out be one of the most popular recall of the brand. She was last seen in Inspector Dhanush in 1995. She is currently based in Dubai, working with Emirates Airlines.

    Ankita Jhaveri- Rasna Girl


    Whether we loved Rasna or not, we surely do remember the ‘I Love You Rasna’ ad. In the mid ’80s, the Rasna ad was a huge hit. The original ‘Rasna’ girl has gone on to become a popular star down south, having worked in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films.

    Manjunath Nayekar- Swami


    Master Manjunath played the character of Swami in R.K. Narayan’s Malgudy Days. The child actor started at the age of 3, went on to act in more than 60 films in Kannada and Hindi as a child artist. He even played the role of young Amitabh Bachchan in Agneepath. Manjunath quit acting at the age of 19 for concentrate on study. He currently work as the VP-PR Liaison for the Bangalore- Mysore Infrastructure corridor project.

    Joy Ghanekar- Gotya


    This was a Marathi serial. But also it was Doordarshan era. It was simple and sweet, like this serial. This kid was loved by parents all over.The actor’s name is Joy Ghanekar. Joy is now settled in the USA, married and with a baby.

    Konkona Sen Sharma


    Konkona, first faced the camera as a four-year old in the 1983 Bengali film ‘Indira‘, which starred her mother Aparna Sen. In 2000, she made her adult debut in the Bengali film Ek Je Aachhe Kanya. Today, she is among the most critically-acclaimed actresses of Bollywood.

    Ahmed Khan


    Ahmed Khan, an Indian choreographer, producer, actor, director and writer began as a child actor playing small roles in films like Raakh. He played an orphan boy in his debut film, Mr. India. The film was the highest grossing Indian film of 1987. He choreographed for films such as Rangeela, Taal, Ghajini and Kick. He was a judge of Dance India Dance Lil Master season 3.

    Aradhana Srivastav: Minni from Masoom


    So really only a few of us watched this movie Masoom. 1983 film Masoom feature Jugal Hansraj, Aradhana and Urmila Matondkar as child actors. These kids from the popular “lakdi ki kathi” song. She was the girl that sang the kids’ favourite “Lakdi ki kathi,” she worked in a couple of movies like Khuda Hafiz and Ram Terey Kitney Naam  but soon bowed out to pursue education and then family. In 2002, she got married to Prashant, who runs a boutique investment advisory firm. Today, Aradhana is teaching music in one of the best schools of the country.

    Tabu


    “Tabu” Hashmi did a small appearance in the film Bazaar in 1980, and later in the film Hum Naujawan (1985) at the age of fourteen; she played Dev Anand’s daughter in the film. Tabu was last seen in Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial Fitoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

    Kunal Khemu


    One of the most popular child actors, Kunal Khemu who is considered as one among the most talented young breed of actors presently, has acted in many films in the past in the capacity of a child actor.He made his debut as a child actor appearing in the Doordarshan TV series Gul Gulshan Gulfaam (1987), directed by Ved Rahi.  He made his film debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Sir (1993). He went on to star as a child artist in movies including Raja Hindustani,Zakhm, Bhai and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. He was last seen in the film  Bhaag Johnny and Guddu Ki Gun in 2015.
