Shahid Kapoor, who tied the knot with Mira Rajput a few months back, is currently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon and his reel name seems to have inspired his new nickname.
Sources claim that Shahid will be seen essaying the role of a Muslim character named Nawab Malik in the film, and Mira, who seems to be missing Shahid, has started addressing her spouse as Nawab, much to his delight.

Interestingly, Shahid had earlier dated Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is now married to Saif Ali Khan, who is also referred to as Nawab owing to his royal lineage.
Incidentally, Saif also plays a pivotal role in Rangoon, which is a love story set against the backdrop of the Second World War.
Apart from Saif and Shahid, Rangoon also stars Kangana Ranaut.
