Latest trend on Indian television is that of people suddenly turning into animals. From snakes and mongoose to lions, it seems wilderness has taken over sanity in Indian shows. These animal instincts are here to stay because oh, what a fan-base these shows have got!

And guess what? One show is even doing it in the name of Lord Shiva. That’s right! Woman turning into ‘Naagin’ in the name of god is what has caught fancy of many. In another show, a man is suddenly turning into a lion (remember 90s hit film 'Junoon'?)

Mouni Roy starrer 'Naagin' takes you back to 80s and 90s films based on how a female snake wants to take revenge from a couple of poeple who killed someone of her own clan. The show is a hit among the aundience who wait with bated breath for what the next episode would uncoil.

Vivian Dsena was probably the coolest vampire on TV. Forget Twilight, and even Vampire Diaries, this show brought a perfect blend of 'desi masala' with everything happening over-the-top. The show was 'Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani'

Another grab of how Vivian even in the avatar of a vampire became a hearthrob of many Indian females.

And then there was a show called Fanna where Karan Kundra had batty instincts.

However, current favourite is but Naagin which even has tantric flair to it.

Yet another show that started off on simple note but wandered off to be a show based on 'Naagin' and her tale of venegence is Adhuri Kahaani Hamari.
