We definitely agree to a saying that women start glowing after marriage. We were captivated with Drashti Dhami’s beauty when we went to interview her on the sets of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani (Zee TV and Spereorigins).
The lovely lady wore a beautiful kanjivaram saree with delicate gold neck piece. She looked totally gleeful and spoke about her life post marriage, husband Neeraj, new family and more.
I don’t prefer big wedding
Given a choice my wedding would have been very simple with only 20 people present. But living in Mumbai you want your family and friends to be there with you on this special day.
In future I will have a white wedding
I love beach wedding and would have planned for it but its gets expensive and hectic as well. And we didn’t want limited people for our marriage as me being the only girl left in the family, parents wanted to celebrate it in a grand way. But I have decided when I complete five or ten years of marriage I will have a white wedding on a beach.
I am very good at balancing my personal and professional life
I gel with my in-laws very well. We eat, play games and watch movies together. Off lately we have been watching our wedding albums and videos. If my father in law doesn’t meet me for three days I get a sweet message from him. My mother in law loves me very much whether I am on-screen, off-screen, pulling his son hair (laughs).
Neeraj is camera shy
Neeraj is a very private person and camera shy. One can never expect us participating together in a reality show.
I am trying to lose weight
Post marriage, I have gained lot of weight which I am trying to lose now. When you are a face of the show you have to look good on-screen. I don’t get irritated if someone tells me I have gained weight. I take it as a pinch of salt and work on it.
I always wanted to get married to a non actor
I always wanted to marry a non actor as I have very limited friends in the industry. The very close ones are Sanaya Irani and Nakuul Mehta.
