As we have been seeing lately, in Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’, Shagun Arora (Anita Hassanandani) has changed from being a scheming woman to a charitable one running an NGO. She is no longer interested in wreaking havoc in Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Raman’s (Karan Patel); instead she is busy living her new life with a new light to the hilt.
However, Shagun’s role in Ishita and Raman’s life is not over yet. New developments are in store in the show as the makers are grappling with the idea of introducing the surrogacy track in the daily soap. You heard it right, fellas. The makers have planned out a track wherein Ishita will be diagnosed with an illness which does not favour child-bearing. Since Ishita and Raman are keen on having a baby, they may approach Shagun to bail them out by becoming a surrogate mother of the baby.
So, does that hint at the impending leap which was postponed by producer Ekta Kapoor at the behest of fans? After all, there is a good chance that Raman may eventually grow closer to Shagun and Ishita may choose to part ways with him. Wasn’t this the way devised by the makers to bring about the story leap? Is the surrogacy track laying the groundwork for the story leap?
Let’s wait and watch to find out.
