Pregnancy weight gain is an inevitable truth, and is an indication of giving birth to a healthy baby. But, most women would agree that losing weight post pregnancy is a Herculean task. For some much needed inspiration, we turned to telly actresses like Mandira Bedi, Roshni Chopra and Era Grover who look fab with their post-baby body.
Kamya Punjabi: Famous for her negative roles on television and better known as a telly vamp, Kamya is currently seen in the Bigg Boss 7 house. She is the mother of a four-year-old girl named Aara. The actress, who is in top shape, confesses to missing her daughter on the reality show. This yummy mommy has been flaunting her petite figure with short, trendy clothes.
Mandira Bedi: Actor, presenter, sports’ commentator, and mother of a two-year-old baby boy Vir, Mandira is currently seen in the critically acclaimed television show 24, alongside Anil Kapoor. She gained 22 kgs during her pregnancy, but managed to shed all the weight within six months of giving birth. Mandira believes in dedicating 45 minutes every day to working out.
Eva Grover: Last seen as Ram Kapoor’s mother in the television show, Bade Ache Lagte Hai, Eva had put on a lot of weight during her first pregnancy in 2007. But, the beautiful mom was determined enough to shed all the extra kilos post pregnancy. If reports are to be believed, she knocked off 26 kilos in just eight months. Married to actor Aamir Khans’s step brother Haider Ali, Eva has done many hit television shows in the past like, Hum Saath Aath Hai and Shararat. She got back to work after a short maternity leave.
Gauri Pradhan: Gauri has taken a sabbatical from the small screen and is happy with her twins, Katya and Nevaan. She delivered last year, and has wasted no time to get back into shape and look her best. Popular for her roles in serials like Kutumb and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Gauri is one hot small-screen bahu.
Juhi Parmar: Winner of Bigg Boss 5, Juhi is married to telly actor Sachin Joshi. She gave birth to her first child late last year. The actress had taken a break from the small screen for various reasons; one of which was, her enormous weight gain. The actress has lost approximately 10 kilos with a strict diet regimen and exercise routine.
Roshni Chopra: The television actress, who gave birth to her first baby last year, knocked off 18 kgs post pregnancy. She is best known for her role in the popular TV show, Kasamh Se. Roshni, who has also hosted reality shows like India’s Got Talent and Comedy Circus Teen Ka Tadka in the past, had put on tons of weight during her pregnancy. But, she was determined to get rid of all the excess flab. The actress went on a strict diet and exercise regime and achieved her goal.
Shweta Tiwari: Shweta, who is known for role of Prerna in Kasauti Zindagi Ki, recently tied the knot with long time boyfriend Abhinav Kohli. The actress has an 11-year-old daughter, Palak. She was last seen on TV in the show Parvarish. She also won Bigg Boss 4 and has been part of a number of other reality shows. Her super toned body is proof that she is a fitness freak.
Smita Bansal: Best remembered for her role of Sumitra in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu, Smita gave birth to her second child last year. Soon after, she participated in a dance reality show with her husband. The actress, who had put on a few pounds during pregnancy, shed all the excess weight due to the dance practices. She is back on the small screen, playing the much-loved mom.
Lata Sabarwal: Lata, who gave birth to her first child earlier this year, is back to work and can be seen on the TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She married her on-screen husband Sanjeev Seth. Lata was also seen on a dance reality show last year. She did gain a few pounds during her pregnancy, but managed to get rid of the extra flab in no time.
