The flagship show of COLORS - ‘Balika Vadhu’ – is about to lose one of its oldest characters, in terms of tenure, very soon.
So we hear that Shashank Vyas aka Jagdish has decided to quit the show. And once that happens, the series will be left with only veteran actress Surekha Sikri aka Dadisa as the only actress who has been with the show since the day it went on air.
We tried contacting Shashank but his spokesperson told us that he is not available right now. For now, he is busy serving his notice period for the remaining two months before finally calling it quits.
As far as looking for Shashank’s replacement is concerned, the makers are in no mood to hire another actor to play the role. Instead, Shashank’s character will be shown leaving for a foreign country, thus ensuring an easy exit for his character.
The pattern of leaving the show started was triggered with the exit of Prayusha Bannerjee. Soon after, Neha Marda, Smita Bansal and Anup Soni also quit the show to graze on greener pastures. Nonetheless, just like all of them, Shashank, too, will be missed by the viewers after he makes an exit.
