We bet you've all watched Malgudi Days and Hum Paanch as kids. We never missed an episode and grew to love some of the characters oh-so-much. Just thinking about them now can make us beam with child-like joy. And to think we watched some of these serials over a decade ago only makes us feel old. Well, nothing like a trip down memory lane, right? Take a look at some Indian television characters we truly miss.
Jassi from Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi: She redefined the way Indians looked at beauty. Jassi chose to be herself and not bother about what people thought about her appearance. Love the self image she had!
Nani from Shararat: She was one cute and naughty nani (granny) we all wish we had. With her magical powers, she easily solved problems. How much we miss her!
Praful & Hansa Parekh from Khichdi: Their insane English and those hilarious acts make us miss this cute couple big time.
Musadhilal from Office Office: He defined the common Indian man and his everyday problems that we could all easily relate too. Every Indian must have had fond memories of watching this funny series.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai family: Well, if you ask us to choose a character from this series, it would be rather difficult. That's why had to pick the entire family from this epic TV series
Sujal and Kashish from Kahin Toh Hoga: This good-looking duo made love look intense and beautiful. However, after the show stretched on too long, it lost its charm. Nevertheless, Sujal aka Rajeev Khandelwal and Kashish aka Aamna Sharif left their impression on our hearts.
Sweety Mathur of Hum Paanch: We all remember this insane girl from the show Hum Paanch, who would run to the door singing Bollywood songs. We miss her lively and bubbly personality.
The Remix cast: This is another show where choosing one favourite character is just not possible. All the lead actors -Anvesha, Tia, Ranveer or Yuvraaj - had a special place in our hearts. We are sure every 90s kid will know what me mean. :)
Byomkesh Bakshi from Byomkesh Bakshi: The recent movie failed to recreate the magic of this awesome television character we adore. Actor Ajoy Ganguly was exceptionally good in his role as the Bengali detective. We have many fond memories of watching this show with our family.
Shaktimaan from Shaktimaan: He was our very own answer to Hollywood's superheroes. Always up to save people from danger and inculcate good habits in citizens, Shaktimaan was definitely every child’s favourite fictional character.
Swami from Malgudi Days: We all remember that cute boy from our favourite childhood series Malgudi Days. Swami was a simple middle class boy who all of us kids could relate to.
