If Ekta Kapoor is the TV Czarina, then Rajan Shahi, who is running two popular series currently — Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai and Tere Sheher Mein — has to be called TV Czar! Rajan Shahi has produced many other leading series till date and has been entertaining the audience with his family and love dramas. He is known for bringing new twists and unthinkable plots in the shows with the objective of keeping the interest of viewers alive with his creative touch. And we hear that his show ‘Tere Sheher Mein’, which is a daily soap running on Star Plus, will witness the presence of Bollywood stars Vidya Balan. It will be an integration of the much-awaited movie starring Balan.
About shooting with Vidya, Rajan Shahi says, “It was a pleasure working with Vidya. The entire unit was bowled over by her professionalism and enthusiasm towards work. She enjoyed the visit and wished everyone the very best”.
Interestingly, Rajan Shahi has a longstanding relationship with Bollywood producer Mukhesh Bhatt. About the bonding with the Bhatts, Rajan Shahi elucidates, “It was a special moment for me as my association with Bhatt Saab, Mukeshji and Vishesh dates back to 21 years. I have learnt a lot under their guidance and have also directed TV shows for them. I was overwhelmed when Mukeshji told me he wishes to integrate ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ in the show. They have seen me grow from an assistant director to a producer. I know this film is close to Mohit Suri and him.”
