Actor Avinash Sachdev, lead star of Hindi serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir, tied the knot with his co-star Shalmalee Desai on June 12 at a five-star hotel in Silvasa, Gujarat. Post his wedding, he was in the limelight not only for wedding, but also for his misconduct with media during his wedding.
Hence, we decided to speak to Avinash to know his side of the story, and give his fans a wider view. The actor, who is currently disappointed with this news, narrated what had actually happened. He shared, "Three to four days prior to my wedding, the media had been trying to contact me either through Whatsapp or text messages to cover my wedding. Since it was a special and personal event, I refused and clarified that I did not want any media coverage. During the day of my wedding, four representatives, two from leadind news channels along with their cameramen, came to shoot my wedding. Without taking my permission, they started shooting the wedding. They did not feel the necessity to even congratulate me. I felt like someone is spying on me."
He further added, "During the baarat, when I spotted two people with cameras in a different costume, I realized that they were not from my team shooting the event. Hence, I requested my relatives to ask them to leave. However, they straight away denied and said that this is a part of their work."
So, when did you interrupt? "It was a personal event. Despite requests by my relatives when they did not leave, my friends interrupted and asked them to delete the footage recorded till that time and told them to leave the resort immediately. Had the baarat been on the road, I would have understood. But all this was happening in the resort premises. None of them took my permission or of the resort's manager to record the wedding. And when things were not getting resolved, I had to barge in and sort it out."
The actor calls it to be an obvious reaction from his side, after the nuisance created during the ceremony. He explained, "If they (media) would have requested me, I would have allowed them to shoot at least for some time maintaining the privacy. I have no problem with the media until they do something cheap or shabby. I believe this was all a TRP game and pretty much planned."
Leaving the serious conversation aside, we ask him about his working plans as his show, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir, has come to an end and he replied, "I have no plans at the moment. My wife and I are going on a road trip from Bombay to Ladakh. I just want to enjoy this time. I will take up work from the first week of August."
And we completely understand. Congratulations to the newly-wedded couple!
