Television actress Aashka Goradia has won the role of the bhayankar (scary) fairy in Sab TV’s ‘Balveer’. The fairy is supposed to be the prettiest of the rest. There were rumours that Bollywood actresses Amrita Rao and Sonali Bendre have been approached for the role. However, it is Aashka who has been zeroed on to play the character now.
About signing the new project, she says, “I am looking forward to playing the most bhayankar pari on Balveer. It’s a different kind of role as well as genre from what I have done in the past, which was exactly what attracted me towards taking up this character. I have played the good bahu and the bad one too, catered to all kinds of audiences from women to the youth but this is the first time I'll be doing a show that caters to kids and hence I am really looking forward to it.”
Aashka eye-make up and get-up as Dheer Bai Bhatiyani has been appreciated in Sony TV’s historic saga ‘Maharana Pratap’. And she is looking forward to dress up in a unique fashion for ‘Balveer’ as well. Speaking about her look in the show, Aashka reveals, “I am planning on an extremely dramatic look on the show and I am sure that the audiences are going to love me in this new avatar.”
Producer Vipul Shah adds, "Aashka is gorgeous and the beautiful face on Indian Television. She is also an extremely versatile actress which is important for this character to deliver variations. And she is a thorough professional."
