Raman aka Karan Patel of Star Plus’s ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ looking forward to tie the knot with his reel father-in-law’s real daughter Ankita Bhargava on May 3, 2015. Apparently, Ankita’s father, Abhay Bhargava, is playing the part of Karan’s on-screen FIL as Mr. Iyer in YHM.
This news has come as a surprise to us as we had known Karan to be dating actress Kamya Punjabi. However, the relationship did not culminate into marriage as Karan’s orthodox parents did not want him to marry a divorcee with a child. Hence, Karan moved on to never look back at his past.
It was then that Karan’s dear friend and co-star, Aly Goni, with whom he shares a brotherly relationship, took charge of finding a suitable bride for him. Aly introduced his friend Ankita to Karan and the duo liked each other. In an arranged marriage set-up, Ankita and Karan’s families met and gave their nod of approval to the tie-up. And now, the couple is gearing up for their roka ceremony.
Ankita's publicist has confirmed that the wedding will happen in Mumbai. But the couple is yet to finalise the details of the nuptials. Anyway, we are happy for Ankita and Karan and hope they enjoy a healthy companionship.
