The Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon babe finally got married over the weekend
Drashti Dhami and Neeraj Khemka tied the knot last Saturday on February 21, 2015. While it seemed like a grand wedding in some of the plush hotels – the bride definitely is a smart one. Why we say so? Read on to find out!
Like we told you earlier, Drashti had banned the media from covering her wedding. In fact she threatened to never give out video interviews to all those who attempted to cover her wedding. Her sister-in-law Suhasi Dhami even threatened to break the video cameras. Initially we thought it was basically because she wanted her privacy. Well it so happens that the bride had already sold the wedding rights to NDTV’s Band Baajaa Bride at a high price. Well most brides and their families lose money in a wedding, but Drashti has managed to earn from her own wedding. Smart choice! Now that’s called planning for the future.
After her wedding, Drashti wore the same red lehenga for the reception as well. She took the dupatta from her head and wore it on the side. She changed her hairstyle for the reception. Drashti like most brides knew that you wear wedding clothes only once in a life time. So guess she saved the money on her reception attire. Again, smart move! If we could all think like her, imagine the amount of money we’d save at weddings.
While the Sangeet festivities had a lot of telly town folks, the reception didn’t see too many faces. Drashti kept it a very small and intimate gathering. Guess being that selective will reduce costs too, right.
