When we think of Karishma Tanna residing in the ‘Bigg Boss 8’ house, our imagination takes us through a slideshow of her digital print dresses and chic skirts. During a tête-à-tête with the actress recently, we learnt that it is ‘Love from India’ that kept her looking fashionable throughout her stay in the stormy BB house. ‘Love From India’, which is online shopping portal selling clothes that are like art merged into fashion, is playing a great role in spreading the word about their charitable cause in association with their brand ambassador Karishma Tanna. The actress spoke candidly about the initiative and revealed her style secrets. Excerpts from the interview:

Please begin by showing what inspired you to support the charitable cause by ‘Love from India.’
‘Love from India’ is a brand that I have been associated with for some time now and the idea has always been to empower women through fashion. The brand and I were drumming up ideas on what we could do for women on Women’s Day. We decided to put up the clothes worn by me in Bigg Boss on the site at discounted prices. It is a great way to raise funds to donate them to a charitable organization called Sneha which supports and empowers women to be independent and develop skills that can earn them a living.

How did the brand approach you for the tie up? Since when are you associated with the brand?
The brand was looking for someone who is a woman of today and for whom looking stylish is a part of her identity. I was glad when the brand approached me. They wanted someone who could encompass these criteria yet be able to fit in with their feminine and beautiful clothes. It’s been a year since I have been associated with them.
What are your favourite clothes from the online shop?
The tunics are really good in nice bright colours. Also the scarfs and clothes with the city digital print are really good.
What is the most versatile thing a shopper could buy from ‘Love from India’?
Long kurtas, especially the pink and yellow ones, that I had worn in ‘Big Boss 8’. They are very comfortable to wear. You can wear them with a just a belt for your day outings or lunches for stylish and classy look. Or you can also team it up with a churidar and dupatta for an evening outing to look more classy.

Would you prefer coming up with your own clothing line in the future?
100% no doubt about it. I would love to do that and hopefully soon.
Any message for our female readers for the Women's day?
Be beautiful, be stylish and love yourself.
