TV Town actress Adaa Khan is pumped up about her new role in an upcoming episode of ‘Code Red’ (Colors). The petite actress will be playing a prostitute. She admits that it was her temptation for diverse acting projects that made her grab the role.
About the promising role, she says, “I am playing Zarina a Muslim girl who is a prostitute. She gets hired by a rich man’s lawyer to become his daughter Afreen in a bid to acquire the property. I will be sporting a simple look as well as a more garish appearance to play both the parts. I am playing negative and positive both characters and in the climax there is suspense too.”
She confesses that she took inspiration from Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor to play the role of Zarina in the crime series. “Kareena Kapoor from ‘Chameli’ was on my mind. In the past, I have played a ghost in Zee TV’s ‘Fear Files’, a rape victim in ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ and even a terrorist in ‘Savdhan India.’ I am sporting chaniya choli to look like a sex worker in ‘Code Red’ and the lingo is similar to the one used by Kareena Kapoor in ‘Chameli’. The audiences will surely like it. Kareena Kapoor is my inspiration.”
However, Adaa adds that a touch of Urdu language has been added in the speech to make it go with her character.
