All the PDA between Upen Patel and Krishma Tanna on Bigg Boss is nothing more, or nothing less, than a publicity stunt to boost the game shows sagging TRPs .
According to insiders the current season of Bigg Boss is dragging its feet and trying desperately to counter the plummeting TRPs. Replacing Salman Khan with Farah Khan as the show’s dost-host has not halped the show’s sagging popularity at all.
According to an insider Patel had pre-planned the fictional romance with Karishma Tanna.
“Upen had a big Tamil release Shankar’s I, during the same week when he made a wild-card entry into Bigg Boss. Having failed miserably to establish himself as a leading man in Bollywood he is now looking at re-launching himself a villain in South Indian cinema. The strategy was to re-enter Big Boss and create a hungama in there,” says the insider.
Apparently Karishma Tanna who has repeatedly proclaimed on camera that she has a boyfriend, was taken into confidence by Upen about his flirty plans before he exited Bigg Boss.
“It’s a strategy. The kissing in the dark and the open flirtation are meant to secure Upen and Karishma’s place in the house till the finale and give them the “footage” that all the contestants try desperately to gain by their aggressive behaviour. Upen and Karishma are playing the roles of love birds. In reality Karishma is in a relationship.And we believe Upen has a steady girlfriend in London,” says the insider.
One wonders how Karishma and Upen’s Significant Other have reacted to this bizarre blizzard of banaawati besharmi.
