Ironically, Sana Khan was also seen in guest appearance in a movie, Bombay to Goa.
In December 2008, Sana Khan's debut Tamil film Silambattam was produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers
In an interview with The Hindu, Sana Khan said, "Silambarasan came to Mumbai looking for a fresh face for his film Silambattam. There he saw me and selected me. I knew I had to work hard to make it big in the Tamil film industry".
Sana Khan reportedly caught the lead actors eye and was offered the film Silambattam, after seeing her ad with Shahrukh Khan in an ad.
Sana Khan received praise for her portrayal of a talkative, tomboyish brahmin village girl named Janu in the film.
So much so, that Sana Khan even won the 2009 ITFA Best New Actress Award in Singapore.
In 2010, Sana Khans next Tamil film, Thambikku Indha Ooru was released.
Later that year, Sana Khan even ventured into the Telugu film industry and even appeared in Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's Kalyanram Kathi.
Sana Khan has also signed up her sixth Tamil film, Thalaivan with Bas, which is being produced by Blue Ocean Pictures.
