Inside Sources from the “Bigg Boss 8” camp state that the new season extension, with inclusion of contestants from past seasons has not pleased many in the (mad) house. The original contestants of season 8 are displeased as their contracts did not provide for such arbitrary extension, and staying cloistered in the house is far from being on anyone's wish list!
Host Salman Khan, displeased with this break in format, is clearly not keen on the show anymore.
What's more, the creative team of “Bigg Boss Season 8”, Endemol, is also not satisfied with such arbitrary changes to the show's format. The show wraps up after the finale in its international format, and in all other versions. But this time, Bigg Boss has extended the season after a finale episode in December 31, by including previous contestants like Rahul Mahajan, Sambhavna Seth, Sana Khan and Mahek Chahal.
Could this random extension have something to do with the poor TRP of Colors? The channel has not done well with most of its new, hyped shows in 2014.
