After 16 weeks of hard work, Ashish Sharma bags the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 trophy.
It was a tough contest between Karan Tacker, Mouni Roy, Shakti Mohan and Ashish Sharma for the coveted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 honour. And Ashish, who has a huge fan following courtesy his ‘Rangrasiya’ character Rudra Pratap Ranawat, triumphed in the end beating the other three.
Contestants like Sophie Choudhary, Bharti Singh and Dadi and Gutthi from Comedy Nights with Kapil, were also present to enthrall the audience with their acts. Superstar Anil Kapoor too was present and he danced with the finalists and the other contestants.
Shakti finished second followed by Karan and Mouni respectively. Apart from the beautiful trophy, Ashish also won a Mahindra XUV and a cash award of Rs 30 lakh.
The audience was also privileged to see the beautiful Madhuri Dixit perform an aerial act on Indian television for the first time. Remo D’souza entertained with his robotic dance moves which was perfect to the T. And director Karan Johar also performed on a medley of hit numbers like ‘Radha Teri Chunari’, ‘Saturday Saturday’ and more with the contestants.

After Mona Singh, Prachi Desai, Baichung Bhutia, Meiyang Chang, Gurmeet Choudhary and Drasthi Dhami, who won the earlier seasons of this celebrity dance show, this year Ashish proved his ability transforming himself from a non-dancer to a dancer to win the trophy. As he said during one of his performances: “When I came here, I never knew anything about dance. Now I know that I can do any form of dance.” Yes, you can Ashish. You have proved your worth.
