Hina Khan has come a long way ever since she began playing the beautiful, homely, dutiful and sweet girl Akshara in Rajan Shahi’s ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Not just in terms of acting, but Hina’s screen character has also grown in terms of appearance as well.
From dressing up simply in a salwar-kameez to getting transformed into a typical Indian bahu after marriage, Hina has crossed a lot of milestones as far as her screen look is concerned.
Sometime post her marriage to Naitik (Karan Mehra) in YRKKH, Akshara got the permission from her in-laws to remove the veil from her head and live freely in the house. Then as time passed, the lovely daughter-in-law of the Singhania house started getting more privilege in her husband’s house that showed up in her dressing as well. She started wearing salwar-kameez once again albeit with three-fourth sleeves. This marked a new transformation in Akshara’s journey as an individual and as a daughter-in-law. She got more expressive and independent in the Singhania house with her changing looks.
And now, Akshara has the liberty to wear track pants and Tees as well (remember Naksh's sports coaching classes?), although she barely shows up wearing them on screen. To sum it all, it has not just been changing clothing for Akshara in YRKKH. But it is about how she develops a voice of her own in true sense. No?
