Celebrities seem to be up there in the clouds but reality strikes when they are actually let go from the TV series that gave them all their fame. Be it temper tantrums or bad performance or an unceremonious fight with the producers, there are many reasons telly actors have been let go. Have a dekko at some of these celebrities who were kicked out of their own TV shows.
Drashti Dhami: The winner of the previous season of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and the show's current host, TV actress Drashti Dhami was replaced by Manish Paul because she lacked the zsa zsa zsu required to connect with the viewers. A pretty face doesn’t always work it seems!
Pratyusha Banerjee: Another product of Bigg Boss 7, Pratyusha Banerjee was shown the door unceremoniously. She may have become an overnight sensation but she couldn't commit to the hectic schedules and had health issues too. Poor Pratyusha!
Sonarika Bhadoria: Sonarika who played the role of Parvati in the mythological saga Devon Ke Dev Mahadev garnered a lot of fans because of her role. Looks like fame was something she couldn’t take and so her tantrums began. She was highly unprofessional, and thus was shown the door.
Karan Singh Grover: TV hottie Karan Singh Grover who was the male lead of Qubool Hai was shown the door because of his lack of professionalism. Apparently he would show up late and throw a lot of tantrums that didn’t go down well with the makers of the show. Allegedly Karan would call in sick and then images of him partying with friends would surface on the Internet. When this happened a lot of times, the producers of the show decided to replace him.
Sunil Grover: Actor Sunil Grover who was favoured by all and sundry as the infamous Gutthi, was let go because he demanded a pay hike. Speculations also surfaced that Sunil’s popularity didn’t go down well with Kapil who felt overshadowed.
Tanishaa Mukerji: Looks like after Bigg Boss 7, Tanisha’s TV career came to a grinding halt. The actress who was part of Gangs of Hasseepur was kicked out of the show after just a few episodes were aired because of her lack of spontaneity. The TRPs of the show didn’t help and Tanishaa was short of a job.
Pankaj Tiwari: Pankaj Tiwari who was the male lead in Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga was replaced by Aamir Ali almost overnight. The production house decided to revamp the whole story because the male lead was unable to garner any interest in the show and as a result, Pankaj was let go.
Jennifer Mistry: Jennifer Mistry from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was pregnant but didn’t inform the producers. She was shown the door because of this, and replaced by Dilkhush.
Gurcharan Singh: The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor threw too many tantrums and irked the producers no end. Soon enough the actor was replaced by Laad Singh Maan.
