Shonali’s tryst with Cricket began with the ICC Champions Trophy 2006
which she presented on Set Max. A non-follower earlier, she instantly
fell in love with the game and being a quick learner picked up the
nitty-gritty’s of the game quite early. Her new found love of the game
led her to present several high profile tournaments like the ICC World
Cup 2007 and IPL 1 on Set Max and the 2009 & 2010 T20 World Cups on
ESPNSTAR. In 2011 Shonali made her foray into British television as a
presenter for IPL 4 on IT4. She instantly became a hit with the
audiences and impressed all the cricketing pundits on the show’s panel
with her vast knowledge of the sport. The stint was so successful that
several viewers, inclusive of many county cricketers, had bombarded
the network with mails and hand written letters requesting they call
back Shonali for presenting IPL5. The channel, however had already
finalized Shonali for the same even before the commencement of the
last edition in light of the huge success of her first year showing
and the same has continued as she is currently presenting her fourth
