Bollywood has steered into the dangerous paths of the underworld very often, with movies like Godmother depicting strong-headed female gangsters. Encounter is the first of its kind on Indian television to showcase this concept, and Sara Khan will be in an avatar never seen before.
Sara will be seen playing the role of a reserved and naïve girl who innocently falls in love. But little does she know that the man she is in love with is a gangster. Unaware of his true identity, she marries him and after her husband is killed in an encounter, she becomes a dreaded gangster to avenge his death.
Commenting on her role Sara Khan said, "After a long time I have got to play an interesting character. I am very excited to portray the role of a gangster which I have never played on – screen before. The entire team of Encounter was absolutely awesome to work with. It was like shooting for a movie"
