Controversy has become another name for Ekta Kapoor’s hit show Jodha-Akbar. There has been an influx of news about its main lead Jodha aka Paridhi Sharma to be sexually abused by the show’s director Santram Verma. It is not the first time that this director has been accused of such a heinous act.
Few months before, actress Ankita Dubey who portrayed the character of Moti Bai had left the show blaming Santram Verma of harassing her. She did even complain but Balaji didn’t pay a heed.
According to our sources who are closely involved with the show, they deny all these allegations on the director and say that due to the location of the set which is in Karjat, far away from Mumbai city, such news float to Media which easily become gossip. So, there is no truth in this and it’s all rubbish rumor! Recently, there was a news that Paridhi is pregnant!
Even the director denied the allegations against him in a quote given to The Times of India, "All these are just rumors and there's is no truth to it. I've not physically abused Paridhi or anybody in my entire career. Paridhi and I are just professionals and we are here to just do our jobs. We don't even talk to each other, nor I've ever spoken to her on the phone so how can I molest? We have a team who co-ordinates with her for the shoots and all. In fact I don't even shoot her (Paridhi) scenes as Paridhi was close to the group who walked out of the show. They used to brain wash her as their only aim was to stop the shoot. So I've always maintained distance from Paridhi as I don't want any clash.”
After digging some more information about the director, we got to know that even though he is denying this, his reputation in the industry is not good. He is a smart man and a big time womanizer.
Paridhi has not come out in the media to comment anything. So, it’s really hard to understand whether this allegation is just a rumor or there is any truth in it.
